Welcome to Owl Class!
We are a mixed Reception and Year 1 class, taught by Miss Paisey and Mrs Pattison. Our warm, welcoming classroom helps children feel confident, curious and ready to learn.
Our Reception children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), learning through purposeful play, exploration and practical experiences alongside focused teaching. In Year 1, children build on these strong foundations as they begin the National Curriculum, with a balance of structured lessons and opportunities to learn through hands-on activities.
This mix creates a gentle transition from Reception into Year 1. Our younger children learn from the language, ideas and examples of their older classmates, while Year 1 children develop confidence and independence by sharing their learning and being positive role models.
Teaching is carefully planned for both year groups, with support and challenge matched to each child’s needs. Together, we develop communication, friendships and a love of learning, celebrating every step along the way.

Art Week
